Another map missing the Upper Peninsula

It’s been talked about plenty on the site, but this is the first post of a map where the Upper Peninsula is completely missing. We have all seen maps like this before, sadly. And despite the recent Upper Peninsula bill it will probably continue to happen. Some would argue that it’s a good thing, so not too many people move to the U.P.
I came across this map while at work which is from Citadel Broadcasting. What’s worse is when a textbook gets it wrong.

I kinda like it they left off the UP. I’ve never heard of the network and apparently they haven’t heard of the UP. Let’s keep them below the bridge. We like it just the way it is.

I’m kind of curious. We never leave Florida or Maine off the map – what makes the U.P. special in that regard?

Yeah, You know I see that many many time, even on facebook we don’t get any recognition. I lived in Calumet, and Eagle River Michigan for 17 years of my life, and I love the fact that when i go back things are still gonna be the same. Phoenix Store, with Arbutus, and Copper Harbor, Jim’s Pizza and the Ambassador with the Taco Pizza, you can’t get any better than that. Along with the pasty, no one makes pasties like a yooper, and the volwerths hotdog, many of beach BONFIRES, have been attributed to the volwerths. THANK YOU U.P., AND I MISS YOU.

I think one major item was left off the all things UP list that Paulie Mihelcich just gave us. And anyone who knows knows you find any better anywhere other than the UP and thats Chow Chow.

In high school, I found it funny that the map on the wall was missing the U.P. It really says a lot about where you live when the map in your classroom doesn’t even recognize where you live as part of the U.S.A.
