Upper Peninsula Tree Stump
Someone in Lansing really loves the Upper Peninsula. At first sight we saw the heart and wondered, “Oh, it must be Tom Izzo! Right?” However, it looks like the heart is located over Iron River rather than Iron Mountain. They sound close enough, but to those unfamiliar it is a 45 mile drive between the two!
Whoever you are, we’ve got some free swag waiting for you. Thanks for loving the Upper Peninsula as much as we do!
A big shoutout to our friend Suban who sent us this hot tip! She found the stump at Moores River Park in downtown Lansing.

I live down in Lansing now, so I’ll have to take a trip over and try to find it myself. I miss the UP every day. Lansing is nice, but there aren’t any lakes, mountains or trees. It might as well be Kansas, except with all sorts of Michigan splendor within an hour’s drive.

Having lived in purgatory… err… Kansas for 3 years after spending the first 25 years of my life <30 miles from a Great Lake… Lansing is nowhere near as bad as Kansas. At least Lansing has water that isn't a cattle/crop-induced murky/foamy brown. And seasons. And diversity.
